Mirroring is a technique which was actually described and used by Etteilla even before the Petit Lenormand Oracle was invented. On page 50 of his book: “Etteilla, ou la seule manière de se recréer avec les cartes, revue, corrigée et augmentée par l’auteur; sur son premier manuscrit” (Lesclapart, Libraire, Quai de Gêvres, Paris, 1773), Etteilla explains how this technique is used.
